Composition :DTF PET film is made from polyethylene terephthalate,
a polyester material known for its strength, transparency and
dimensional stability. PET is a commonly used thermoplastic polymer
in a variety of applications due to its excellent mechanical and
thermal properties.
Use :DTF PET film is used as a substrate or carrier for patterns or
inks in the DTF printing process. It acts as a temporary layer to
transfer ink or design to the fabric during activation.
Printing process :DTF PET film is usually used in combination with
DTF ink and hot melt adhesive powder. Use an appropriate inkjet
printer or other digital printing method to print the design or
pattern onto the PET film. The ink is then dried or cured,
depending on the specific ink formulation.
Transfer to fabric: Once the design is printed and dried on the PET
film, place it on the fabric with the printed side facing down.
Heat and pressure activate the hot melt adhesive powder, which
binds the ink to the fabric. The PET film acts as a carrier,
allowing ink to be transferred from the film to the fabric during
the activation process.
Removal of PET film: After an activation process, the PET film is
stripped from the fabric, leaving the transferred ink or pattern
behind. The ink sticks to the fabric permanently, creating a
long-lasting and vibrant print.

Applications of DTF PET film
Ink curing: Allow the printing ink on the DTF PET film to dry or
cure completely. The specific curing requirements will depend on
the ink type and the manufacturer's recommendations. It may involve
air drying or the use of heat or UV curing methods.
Fabric preparation: Ensure that the fabric is clean, dry,
non-polluting and wrinkle-free. Pre-washing the fabric may be
necessary to remove any slurry or chemicals that may interfere with
the printing process.
Hot press transfer: The printing side of the DTF PET film is placed
on the fabric face down. Use a hot press for heat and pressure. The
heat activates the bonding layer on the PET film, which transfers
the ink from the film to the fabric. The pressure ensures proper
adhesion and ink penetration into the fabric fibers.
Cooling and peeling: After the transfer process, allow the fabric
to cool down, which helps the ink set. Once cooled, carefully peel
the DTF PET film from the fabric, leaving the transferred design.
Be careful when peeling to avoid damaging the print.
Post-treatment (optional): Depending on ink type and fabric
requirements, additional post-treatment steps may be required. This
can include heat curing, washing, or other finishing processes to
improve the durability and washable print.
